titleOfInvention | High resolution mapping methods and mapping probes |
abstract | In accordance with the present invention, high resolution, rapid and reproducible chromosomal banding methods have been developed. Invention methods enable the accurate mapping of genes to single chromosome bands with no registration shift. In accordance with another embodiment of the present invention, DNA or cDNA probes uniquely identifying physical genomic locations are provided. Such reagents are useful for the identification of the chromosomal band from which a particular DNA sequence is derived. |
