Prostaglandin e receptor |
abstract |
A polypeptide of human and rat EP2 receptors; a process for producing the same; a DNA coding for the same; a replication or expression vector comprising the DNA and a host cell transformed by the vector; a monoclonal or polyclonal antibody of the polypeptide; a pharmaceutical composition containing the polypeptide or the antibody; and a method of screening a compound having an EP2 agonist or antagonist activity by using the polypeptide and the host cell. As the above polypeptide itself specifically binds to PGE 2 , it can be used as a preventive or remedy for diseases caused by PGE 2 overproduction, such as inflammation. Also it can be used for screening a substance having an EP2 receptor agonist or antagonist activity. |
