abstract The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for handling mold carriers, wherein the endless conveyor for loading and unloading in the loading section is stopped for a limited time by enlarging a loop in the endless conveyor before its loading section at a speed which corresponds to the instantaneous speed of the endless conveyor in the working section compensated and analogous reduction of a last loop in the endless conveyor after its loading range with the reverse speed as the first loop.
