abstract A bioadhesive comprising at least two combinable components that can be used simultaneously, individually or separately over time, i.e. (1) a semi-liquid component (A) comprising at least gelatin in an aqueous solution, and (2) an optionally gelled component (B) comprising at least one aldehyde except for aqueous formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde or glyceraldehyde solutions. The use of succinic aldehyde and gelled aldehyde solutions as a hardening agent in a bioadhesive, a method for preparing such bioadhesives, and a device for applying same, are also disclosed.
