In a method and a device for the continuous production of polymers from reaction components, in particular copolymers of styrene and acrylonitrile, by bulk or solution polymerization, the reaction components being passed through the tubes of a circuit reactor, the circuit reactor has at least one tube bundle reactor with straight tubes , which are surrounded by a liquid heat transfer medium, and each tube bundle reactor consists of at least two tube bundle heat exchangers which are connected to one another by at least one intermediate mixing section. The volume of the tube bundle heat exchangers is at least 50% of the total volume of the arrangement. The intermediate mixing sections consist of pipes with static mixing elements, the pipes of which are surrounded by a heat transfer medium. |
