These compounds can be used as therapeutic agents for treating afflictions and diseases related to hyperactivity of the alpha -adrenergic system, such as, for example, arterial hypertension, prostate benign hyperplasia, high intraocular pressure and hpercholesterolemia. Processes for the preparation of the above said compounds are also described.
