abstract | An aqueous fluorocopolymer dispersion prepared by the seed polymerization of 20-100 parts by weight of an acrylic and/or methacrylic ester in an aqueous dispersion of particles of a fluorocopolymer comprising 70-95 mole % of vinylidene fluoride and 30-5 mole % of chlorotrifluoroethylene in the presence of 100 parts by weight of the fluorocopolymer particles. The dispersion is excellent in film-forming performance, transparency in clear coating and weathering resistance, and can provide a coating film having a high gloss and excellent mechanical properties. |
