abstract |
Fatty acid esters of alkyl glycosides are enzymatically prepared by forming a micro-emulsion from a fatty acid, and alkyl glycoside and a nonionic or anionic surface active agent. The viscosity of the micro-emulsion is adjusted with tertiary butanol, 2-methyl-2-butanol, acetone or 2-butanone. After the enzymatic esterification has been effected, the reaction mixture is subjected to pervaporation. |
