abstract |
The invention relates to a polymer material (6) consisting of a first very-low-density polyethylene (VLDPE) component (1), grafted with an organic silane (3) in combination with an organic peroxide (4) and cross-linked by storage in a damp environment and/or in water. The polymer material (6) can be made into medical instruments without humidity before cross-linking. After cross-linking, the medical instruments made of the polymer material (6) exhibit great transparency, are non-bucking and flexible. The polymer material (6) is made in an extruder, preferably a double-worm extruder. |
