titleOfInvention Improvements in dewatering of sludges
abstract Process for the dewatering of sludge from the treatment of waste water or the production of drinking or industrial water, in particular with a view to its recovery, characterized in that the liquid sludge, having undergone mechanical dewatering using conventional means, is put in contact with a water-absorbing product chosen from long-chain macromolecules obtained by association of synthetic monomers and in that, after this post-dehydration step, the dried mud is separated from said water-absorbing product, the latter being then treated to remove the water, in particular for recycling in the post dehydration stage. <IMAGE>
