An optochemical fluorescence sensor with a biorecognitive layer (4) for measuring the concentration of at least one analyte (8) in a sample has at least one island layer (2) applied to a substrate (1) of the sensor. Their island (3) consist of an electrically conductive material and have a diameter of less than 300 nm, the biorecognitive layer (4) being arranged on or by means of a spacer layer (5) on the island layer (2). Furthermore, an analyte-specific, fluorescent system (9) that can be added to the sample or is present in the sensor is provided. The biorecognitive layer (4) can bind the analyte (8) to be measured directly or by means of analyte-binding molecules, the quantum yield of the fluorescent system (9) being small and increasing significantly in the vicinity of the island layer (2). <IMAGE> |
