titleOfInvention Hypoallergenic serocolostral fraction having high antibody activity, use and process for preparing such a fraction
abstract The hypoallergenic serocolostral fraction with high antibody activity of the invention is free of β-lactoglobulin and its number of moles of elements with antibody activity per 100 g of total protein is at least 2.5.10 -4 , in particular s' acting as immunoglobulin G (IgG), it is at least 4.5. 10 -4 .n n n Preferably, the elements with antibody activity being the F (ab ') 2 fragments of IgG, it is free of α-lactalbumin, serum albumin and Fc fragments of IgG.n n n This serocolostral fraction can be used as a nutritional supplement, or for obtaining a medicament intended for the prophylaxis or for the treatment, orally, of animal or human diarrhea. The process for the preparation of the IgG serocolostral fraction consists in extracting the caseins from a skimmed bovine colostrum and in adsorbing the β-lactoglobulin contained in the serocolostrum thus obtained, optionally diluted, by contacting with stirring for a predetermined period of time. an anionic type ion exchange resin. The process for the preparation of the serocolostral fraction with fragments F (ab ') 2 consists in extracting the caseins from a skimmed bovine colostrum, in carrying out a controlled hydrolysis of the serocolostrum thus obtained, by pepsin, and in adsorbing the β-lactoglobulin contained in the hydrolyzate by contacting the latter, with stirring for a predetermined period, with an ion exchange resin, of anionic type.
