titleOfInvention | 5-Aminolevulinic acid producing microorganism, and process for producing it |
abstract | A microorganism that produces 5-aminolevulinic acid, nwherein the microorganism has a 5-aminolevulinic acidndehydratase variant having a reduced inhibitor constant for an5-aminolevulinic acid dehydratase inhibitor. A microorganismnthat produces 5-aminolevulinic acid, wherein the microorganismnis a photosynthetic bacterium that produces 5-aminolevulinicnacid without light irradiation. A process for producingn5-aminolevulinic acid comprising the step of culturing anmicroorganism that produces 5-aminolevulinic acid in a culturenmedium under at least one condition selected from the groupnconsisting of (a) less than 1 ppm of dissolved oxygennconcentration in the culture medium, (b) from -180 to 50 mV ofnoxidation-reduction potential in the culture medium, and ( c )nfrom 5×10 -9 to (KrM - 2×10 -8 ) (mol of O 2 /mℓ·min·cell) of cellularnrespiration rate, wherein KrM represents the maximum cellularnrespiration rate when oxygen is supplied in an excess quantity. |
