titleOfInvention | Ethylene type quaternary copolymer rubber |
abstract | The present invention provides an ethylene typenquaternary copolymer rubber which is formed whennethylene, an α-olefin, a non-conjugated diene, and anvinylidene aromatic monomer are polymerized. Morenspecifically, it relates to an ethylene type quaternaryncopolymer having a low crystallinity which can beneasily bonded and blended with a diene type rubber andnto which such properties as mechanical strength, nabrasion resistance, and resistance to dynamic fatiguencan be effectively imparted. The quaternary copolymernrubber in accordance with the present invention hasncharacteristics that (1) the non-conjugated diene has ancontent of 0.1 to 10 mol%; (2) the vinylidene aromaticnmonomer has a content of 0.1 to 45 mol%; (3) thenlimiting viscosity [η] measured at 70°C in xylene isn0.5 to 10 dl/g; (4) the glass transition temperaturen(Tg) measured by a differential scanning calorimetern(DSC) is a single value and not higher than 0°C; andn(5) the portion soluble to methyl ethyl ketone is notngreater than 2% by weight. |
