titleOfInvention | Process for producing optically active alcohol containing phenyl group |
abstract | A process for producing an optically active alcoholnhaving a phenyl group is disclosed, comprising the step ofncarrying out interesterification between (a) a monoesternbetween a racemic alcohol having a phenyl group and a fattynacid or a diester between a racemic alcohol having a phenylngroup and a dibasic acid and (b) an optically inactive non-racemicnalcohol having 16 or more carbon atoms in thenpresence of heat-resistant lipase and in the absence of ansolvent under a substantially water-free condition at antemperature of not lower than 81°C under atmospheric pressurenor reduced pressure and the step of separating an opticallynactive alcohol having a phenyl group rich in either one of R- andnS-forms from the reaction mixture. |
