| abstract | A method for the presentation of information in a presentation system, said method comprising transfer of data from a data processing system to the presentation system, said data being transferred as data strings comprising at least one data element, wherein each data element comprising at least one identifier unambiguously represents information. One or more presentation parameters or attributes are identified in the presentation system by means of at least one identifier in a data element, and the presentation of the information of the data element is controlled in the presentation system by means of the identified presentation parameter(s) or attribute(s). The presentation parameters or attributes are preferably identified on the basis of a number of presentation parameters or attributes comprising at least one static and at least one dynamic presentation parameter or attribute. The invention also relates to a system for the transfer and presentation of information according the method, said system comprising a presentation system and a data processing system in which one or more tables indicating the connection between the presentation parameters or the attributes and identifiers are associated with the presentation system. In a preferred embodiment, the presentation system and the data processing system are the client and the server, respectively, in a client-server system. Furthermore, it is preferred that the system also comprises a communication module constituting an interface between the client and the server. |
