abstract |
A high heat deflection temperature impact modified thermoplastic composition exhibiting reduced opacity and high gloss is provided. The composition contains (a) an alpha-alkyl substituted-vinyl aromatic-vinyl cyanide copolymer and (b) an emulsion polymerized graft copolymer a vinyl aromatic-vinyl cyanide superstrate and exhibiting high gloss and lower opacity. The reduced level of opacity allows for the ability to maintain color intensity at reduced levels of pigment loading. The compositions are useful for making molded articles such as automotive parts. |
