abstract Fire protection glass unit with two panes and an intermediate layer that foams up in the event of a fire in the space between the panes. The intermediate layer consists mainly of soda water glass and water, but is mixed with the resistance time in the event of fire increasing organic substances. Potash water glass is used as an admixture component of the intermediate layer for the purpose of suppressing the sensitivity of the intermediate layer to ultraviolet rays of light.
