abstract | Disclosed is a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having on one side thereof hydrophilic colloid layers including a silver halide emulsion layer, wherein at least one of the hydrophilic colloid layers contains a redox compound having at least one carbonyl group, wherein said redox compound is capable of being oxidized with an oxidized product of a developing agent in a photographic processing so as to release a development inhibitor, and wherein said redox compound satisfies the following Formulae 1 through 3:n Formula 1 n development inhibitor releasing rate (%) under a condition (A) ≧ 4.5, Formula 2 n development inhibitor releasing rate (%) under a condition (B) < 15.0, Formula 3 n development inhibitor releasing rate (%) under a condition (A) > development inhibitor releasing rate (%) under condition (B). |
