abstract |
The present invention relates to new amphoteric sizing agents which are used in the form of their aqueous dispersion. They can be obtained by polycondensation of a copolymer half-ester salt with a polyamine and / or polyamidoamine in an aqueous medium. The semi-ester salt copolymer is prepared by radical polymerization of maleic anhydride with an alpha-olefin containing 8-22 carbons. The new amphoteric sizing agent can be used for sizing paper products in a wide pH range. |
