abstract |
In the process for the preparation with simultaneous end group stabilization of polyacetal copolymers in a homogeneous phase and their workup, cyclic formaldehyde oligomers are copolymerized with cyclic acetals in the presence of an initiator in a polymerization reactor and the initiator is immediately deactivated by adding basic substances, the unstable chain ends in the presence of residual monomers are reduced to 0.01% to 1% and the product at the reactor outlet loses a large part of the residual monomers by expansion in a granulating device and the remaining residual monomers and the impurities dissolved in the product are removed by extraction with solvents and the product after drying and stabilization is granulated. |
