abstract |
Pyrimidinedione derivaties(1) exhibiting an antiar-rhythmic effect of the Class III type which have a basic structure characterized in that a pyrimidinedione ring and a moiety comprising a phenyl or imidazole group are linked by a chain comprising at least nitrogen and carbon atoms, the alkylene chain of this linking chain being directly attached to the 6-position of the pyrimidinedione ring. Owing to this structure, these pyrimidinedione derivatives show an improvement in stability and in the duration of action in vivo. |
