In a method according to the present invention for manufacturing a nickel-metal-hydride battery, a nickel hydroxide, a negative electrode including a hydrogen occlusion alloy, and a separator are assembled, and thus assembled components are received in a battery vessel. An alkali electrolyte is filled in the vessel, and the vessel is sealed so as to produce a sealed nickel-metal-hydride battery. Thereafter, a formation step including at least one charging/discharging of the nickel-metal-hydride battery, after the formation, the nickel-metal-hydride battery is charged; and after the charging, the nickel-metal-hydride battery is left. |
