Skin-cleansing compsns. in the form of o/w emulsions contain an emulsifier with an HLB of 12 or less and non-hydrophilic solid lipid particles with a m.pt. below 50 degrees C. The particles include a cleansing agent. Also claimed is a make-up-removing compsn. contg. a compsn. as above in which the cleansing agent is a make-up remover. Also claimed is a method for cleansing and/or erasing (''gommer'') the skin of the human body and/or face and/or neck, comprising applying a compsn. as above to the skin, massaging the skin with the compsn. to remove dead cells, and opt. rinsing the skin. Pref. the cleansing agent is a cereal flour, a clay or a make-up-removing oil. The emulsifier has an HLB of 6-12. The emulsion comprises 10-40 wt.% oil phase. The particles are present in an amt. of 0.5-10 wt.%. The particles are formed by cryomilling, have a mean dia. of 50-2000 mu m, and comprise lipids selected from 8-18C linear satd. fatty acid triglycerides, solid vegetable fat fractions or butters, and silicone waxes. |
