abstract The invention relates to new cosmetic compositions for topical use, in particular for photoprotection of the skin and / or hair, having photoprotective power on the one hand and cosmetic properties on the other hand, and which are characterized by the fact that they comprise, in a cosmetically acceptable carrier in particular of the oil-in-water emulsion type, (i) 2,4,6-tris [p- (2'-ethylhexyl-1'-oxycarbonyl) anilino] -1,3,5-triazine, as a filter, and (ii) dioctyl malate in an amount sufficient to solubilize by itself the whole of said filter.n n n Application to the protection of the skin and hair against the effects of ultraviolet radiation.
