| abstract | Described are fiber-reinforced molded articles containing hydraulic binders, air binders or polymer concrete and as reinforcing material, yarns and / or tapes arranged in parallel or in two or three dimensions of more than 440 dtex from fibers of aromatic polyamides soluble in polar aprotic organic solvents containing the recurring structural units of the formulas I, II and possibly III -OC-Ar 1 -CO-NH-Ar 2 -NH- (I), -OC-Ar 1 -CO-NH-Ar 3 -NH- (II), -OC-Ar 1 -CO-NH-Ar 4 -NH- (III), in which Ar 1 , Ar 2 , Ar 3 and Ar 4 independently of one another represent a divalent mono- or polynuclear aromatic radical, the free valences of which are in the para position or in the meta position or in a parallel, coaxial or angled position comparable to these positions to each other.n n n Furthermore, yarns or tapes of the titer of more than 440 dtex made of fibers from the aromatic polyamides defined above are described which contain 2 to 25% by weight, preferably 3 to 10% by weight, based on the weight of the yarn or the tape, of a thermosetting material or contain thermoplastic polymers as fixatives. |
