abstract |
The present invention relates to a silica-soda-lime glass composition intended for the production of glazings which comprises the following constituents according to contents, expressed in percentages by weight, defined by the following limits: SiO₂ 69 to 75% Al₂O₃ 0 to 3% B₂O₃ 0 to 5% CaO 2 at 10% MgO <2% Na₂O 9 to 17% K₂O 0 to 8% Se 0 to 0.002% CoO 0 to 0.001% Cr₂O₃ 0 to 0.001% with 0.02% <Fe₂O₃ (total) <0.2% this composition being capable of also containing fluorine, oxides of zinc and zirconium and less than 4% of barium oxide, the sum of the percentages of alkaline earth oxides remaining equal to or less than 10%.n n n The glazing produced from such glasses is particularly suitable for architectural applications. |
