abstract A biaxially oriented polypropylene film containing resin is described. The n-heptane-insoluble portion of the film has a chain isotaxy index, measured by means of 13 C-NMR spectroscopy, of 85 to 94%. The base layer contains less than 10% by weight resin. The film is stretched so that the product of tensile strength in the longitudinal and transverse directions is greater than 50,000 (N / mm²) ².n n n A method of making the polypropylene film is also described.
