In a lactose repressor protein, at least onenamino acid at the position of 94, 241, 265 or 300 in thenwild lactose repressor is replaced with an amino acidnother than that of the wild lactose repressor, and thenuse thereof. n The present mutant lactose repressor represses thenexpression of a desired gene at 30°C or lowerntemperature, and induces the expression of a desired genenat 37°C or higher temperature, and therefor can controlnthe expression by change of a culture temperature withoutnusing an expensive inducer such as IPTG. |
