titleOfInvention Hand-held inhalation-actuated spray device
abstract A hand-held inhalation-actuated spray device comprising a supply (1) of a substance to be sprayed; a dispensing device (2) for dispensing said substance; an inhalation channel (5); biasing members (6, 7, 8) for actuating the dispensing device (2); a locking member (31) for locking or releasing said biasing members; and release members (10, 11, 12, 13, 14) for moving said locking member into its release position when suction occurs in the inhalation channel (5). Said release members include an electrical actuator (10) for moving said locking member (31), an electronic control circuit (12) for controlling said electrical actuator, and a suction sensor (14) for transmitting a suction signal to said electronic control circuit when suction is sensed in the inhalation channel (5), whereafter the electronic control circuit (12) controls the electrical actuator (10) to move the locking member (31) into the release position. The device is characterized in that it further comprises a position sensor (17) for sensing a correct orientation of the device. Said position sensor (17) is connected to said electronic control circuit (12) and said electronic control circuit (12) actuates the device only if said position sensor (17) senses said correct orientation of the device.
