Method and arrangement for transmitting calling information in a mobile radio system |
abstract |
To transmit call information (R) in a mobile radio system with at least one central station (SSS, RSS) and a large number of mobile stations (MS), a short message service (Short Message Service) provided in the mobile radio system is used to transmit the call information (R ) via a signaling channel and without the use of traffic channels to a mobile station (MS). As a result, a known mobile radio system can also be used as a paging system. Corresponding mobile stations (MS) have no structural units intended for voice communication, such as a microphone (M) or earpiece (H). A dialing keypad (T) can also be dispensed with. |
