abstract |
By reacting a dialkylmagnesium compound with a halogenating agent, a titanium compound and an electron donor compound and then fixing the dissolved titanium compound by reduction with an aluminum alkyl compound, a catalyst component is obtained which, together with an aluminum-organic compound in the polymerization and copolymerization of ethylene to give ultra-high molecular weight ethylene homo- and Copolymers with an average grain diameter of 50 to 200 microns and a viscosity number of greater than 2000 cm³ / g leads. The average grain diameter can be set by the catalyst particle diameter and by the catalyst productivity. |
