titleOfInvention | Recognin vaccines |
abstract | The invention is directed to a vaccine containing the tumor markers, Regognin L, Recognin M or malignin, for the prevention of treatment of cancer. Anti-Recognin antibodies inhibit the growth of small lung carcinoma cells in vitro. Anti-recognin antibody levels increase with age in humans and are increased in patients with breast cancer. The invention also includes the administration of an anti-Recognin antibody for the treatment of cancer and a diagnostic assay for detecting anti-Recognin antibodies. |
