titleOfInvention Dental treatment instruments
abstract A dental treatment instrument for the retrograde treatment of root canals (2) has at least one elongated shaft (12) ending at a point (7) and linked to a handle. The point (7) is bent by about 90 DEG with respect to an axis defined by the longitudinal extension of the shaft (12) or handle. A head (14), in particular a rotationally symmetrical head (14), is provided at the free end of the point (7) for preparing a cavity (9) in the area of the root apex, in particular a cavity having an undercut (8), or for introducing filling material into said cavity (9), the diameter of the cavity (9) being lower than the root apex (3). For that purpose, in the cross-sectional view, the diameter of the head (14) in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the point (7) is larger than the diameter of the head (14) in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the point (7).
