abstract | The kit comprises two components - an incubation element (2) with a chamber (4) to receive a mixture of the substance to be analysed and a test substance, and a reaction element (3) containing a vessel (10) covered by a sealing membrane (11) and having a sensitive reaction layer in the bottom (10a). A tapering tube (5) on the bottom of the incubation element serves to perforate the membrane and inject the contents of the incubation element into the reaction element vessel as the two components are fitted together. The diameter of the tapering tube (5) is such that the contents of the chamber (4) can be diffused only by a set centrifugal force. The incubation element has feet (6) on its underside which keep the tapering tube above the level of the diaphragm until the two components are pressed together, when the feet are inserted into corresponding recesses in the reaction element. <IMAGE> |
