titleOfInvention Method for removing anorganic metal compounds from solutions
abstract Inorganic metal compounds, in particular salts, oxides or hydroxides, are removed from cyanide-containing electrolytes and other solutions by removing at least part of their liquid from the solution and the liquid removed in a cooling container with stirring in the region of the metastable region until the salts or Hydroxide is cooled. The solution cooled in this way is fed intermittently with energy to initiate crystallization. The crystallized metal compounds are separated from the liquid and the separated liquid is returned to the solution. Suitable energy sources for intermittent energy supply are in particular: ultrasound, direct current, alternating current, microwaves, magnetism, laser beams, infrared rays; and ultraviolet rays. The cooling is expediently carried out until the exothermic reaction caused by the liberation of the heat of crystallization occurs; the temperature is then kept for a further 2 to 4 minutes at 0.5 to 1 ° C. below this temperature before the metal compounds are separated off. The cooling rate is preferably -0.5 ° C / minute, at low stirrer speed.
