The invention concerns electrode membranes made of an ion-exchange material which forms the core and electrodes which contact each side thereof. The membranes are intended for use in fuel cells or electrolysers, the ion-exchange material consisting of solvent-soluble homopolymers or copolymers or mixtures thereof. The polymer must have at least one group which dissociates into ions. The electrode material is joined to the ion exchange material on both sides of the core in such a way that intimate contact is established between the ion-exchange material and the electrode on each side of the membrane, while the outside is pure electrode material. |
