abstract The present invention relates to a packaging material utilizing polyethylene terephthalate (PET) as main constituent, suitable for the production of containers through reaction extrusion blending. According to the invention, the PET consists of post consumer PET regrind at a composition of between 80 and 90% by weight, and that the material further includes an ethylene copolymer at a rate of 10 to 20% by weight.
