titleOfInvention METHOD FOR TREATING RESOLUTION RESIDUES.
abstract The invention relates to a process for treating dissolution residues occurring in the recovery of fission products, especially fission molybdenum, when nuclear fuel consisting of uranium, silicon and aluminium is irradiated, then treated with an alkaline solution, the solution being subsequently separated from the dissolution residues, in which the dissolution residues are dissolved by a further solution containing hydrogen peroxide. The residues can be completely and safely dissolved by adding an acid and iodine or an iodine compound to the solution containing hydrogen peroxide.
