abstract | Pigment compositions containing an organic pigment whose particle surface is provided with a protective coating layer, characterized in that the coating consists of a metal phosphate complex in which the metal is selected from the group consisting of zirconium, titanium and mixtures thereof, and 0.5 to 100% by weight, preferably 0.5 to 40% by weight, in particular 5 to 40% by weight, based on the pigment.n n n They are characterized by excellent properties, in particular by the high gloss of the colorations obtained, by high dispersion resistance, heat resistance and by a very good rheological behavior of the varnish or printing inks produced therewith.n n n The plastics pigmented with the compositions according to the invention are likewise distinguished by high heat resistance and by the fact that the plastic parts are largely free from distortion. |
