titleOfInvention | Stabilizer system for thiol-ene and thiol-nene compositions |
abstract | Stable thiol-ene compositions are provided which comprise a polythiol, a polyene and a stabilizer system comprising an alkenyle substituted phenolic compound having formula (I) wherein R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are independently selected from the group consisting of H, OR, a C1-C8 alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkenyl or substituted alkenyl, a C6-C20 aryl or substituted aryl, or a cyano group; R<4> is H, R, OR, halogen, COR, COOR, or SR; R<5> is OH, OR, OCOR, OCOOR, OCONHR, or OTMS; R is a C1-C6 alkyl, a cycloalkyl, or a C6-C20 aryl or substituted aryl; x and y are 1, 2, or 3; z is 0, 1, or 2; and x + y + z = 2, 3, or 4; or formula (II) where x, y, z, w, R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, R<4> and R<5> are defined as above, except that x + y + z = 2-6, and R<6> is CH2, C(CH3)2, O, S, or SO2; and one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of a free radical scavenger, a hindered phenolic antioxidant and a hydroxylamine derivative. |
