titleOfInvention Process and device for eliminating solvent vapeurs from exhaust air
abstract The air to be cleaned is extracted from a work space (2) and fed to at least two parallel activated carbon adsorbers (10 to 13). Each adsorber can be switched back and forth between a loading operation in which it adsorbs the solvent vapors from the exhaust air flowing through it and a regeneration operation in which it is separated from the exhaust air flow and is flushed and desorbed with water vapor. To save energy and relieve the environment, it is provided that each adsorber goes through a drying phase at the end of the regeneration period, in which exhaust air flows through it from the work space and is then fed to an adsorber working in the loading mode. In the periods in which an adsorber works in loading operation, it first goes through an initial phase, which is followed by a main phase, with air flows from adsorbers in the main phase being returned directly to the working area, while the air flow from an adsorber in the initial phase from first-mentioned air flows is kept separate.
