titleOfInvention | Water soluble metal-free phthalocyanine dyes, process for their manufacture and use thereof |
abstract | Phthalocyanine dyes of the formula (1) described in which H₂Pc is the rest of the phthalocyanine, M represents hydrogen or an alkali metal or other salt-forming metal, R¹ is hydrogen or lower alkyl which can be substituted by lower alkoxy, cyano, lower alkanoylamino, carboxy, sulfo, phosphato, sulfato, hydroxy or lower dialkylamino, R² is hydrogen or lower alkyl which may be substituted by the substituents given for R¹ or by phenyl, sulfophenyl or carboxyphenyl, or R¹ and R² together with the nitrogen atom form a 4- to 8-membered heterocyclic saturated ring, B is a radical of the formula (2a) or ( 2 B) is in which R³ is hydrogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy, R⁴ is hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy, m is zero or 1 and n is zero, 1 or 2, the group -SO₂-Y is a fiber-reactive radical of the vinyl sulfone series, a is a number from zero to 3, b is a number from zero to 2 and c is a number from 1 to 4, the sum of (a + b + c) being 1 to 4. The dyes are used for dyeing material containing hydroxyl and / or carboxamide groups, in particular fiber material, such as cellulose fibers, wool and synthetic polyamide fibers. |
