titleOfInvention Process for manufacturing of seamless drawn medium hard/hard copper fitting tubes
abstract In this process, hot-formed copper pre-pipes are first cold-formed from cast rods by pulling them to an intermediate dimension. Then the inner surfaces of these intermediate tubes are roughened and then these roughened intermediate tubes are annealed at a temperature of 350 ° C. to 650 ° C. and with an inert gas containing oxygen introduced into the interior of the tube. The intermediate tubes are then subjected to a semi-hard / hard hardening train, which is followed by a thermal treatment at a temperature of 175 ° C. to 275 ° C. while introducing an oxygen-containing gas mixture into the interior of the tube. This manufacturing process significantly reduces the copper ion release from hard / semi-hard installation pipes in rod form made of SF-Cu for central drinking water supply with constant resistance to pitting corrosion. The maximum copper ion solubility is around 1 mg / l in drinking water with a pH in the range of 6.5 to 9.0.
