abstract Single- or multi-layered layer elements are described, consisting of a) a modified support, the modification meaning the attachment of reactive groups with the same reactivity across the area, and b) one or more layers of organic polymer materials which react in the same direction in each layer Contain reactive groups, the reactive groups of the first layer being ready to react with the reactive groups of the support and, in the case of several layers, each further in turn having reactive groups ready to react to the preceding one, and the reactive groups forming covalent bonds. Such layer elements attached to supports are produced in such a way that the individual layers from solutions of the organic polymer materials in suitable solvents are applied to modified supports by sequential chemisorption (formation of covalent bonds).
