abstract The invention relates to a method and a device that take advantage of the cavitation effect.n n n The method comprises the passage of a hydrodynamic flow through a flow channel (5) with a body (7) which is difficult to flow around and which accommodates a local current restriction in at least two sections (12, 13), and the generation of a cavitation field behind it. The ratio of the current speed in each of the sections (12, 13) to the speed of the freely dispersed system at the outlet from the channel (5) is maintained at 2.1 and the degree of cavitation is maintained at least 0.5.n n n The device contains a body (7) which is difficult to flow around and which consists of at least two elements which ensure the formation of the own cavitation fields, which differ in the degree of cavitation.n n n The invention is preferably used for the preparation of emulsions.
