Alumina hydrate in a crystallized or amorphous state or in solution in a suitable solvent such as an acid or alkaline liquor, characterized in that it contains at least one coloring additive, solid or solubilized or capable of dispersing in a suitable solvent such as an acid solution, neutral or alkaline, capable of modifying, throughout the wavelength range of the visible spectrum, the coloration of the alumina hydrate with a view to lastingly improving its whiteness properties during its subsequent applications.n n n The coloring additive, the hydrate content of which by weight is at least 5 ppm and preferably from 10 to 60 ppm, can be a pigment such as copper phthalocyanine and is chosen according to the color to be corrected but also its stability in the reaction medium in which the alumina hydrate is used. |
