abstract Superabsorbent acrylic polymers for water and aqueous fluids, with improved physical properties, in particular with short gel setting time, high gel strength and high capillary suction under pressure. These products are obtained by a double polymerization process in aqueous suspension involving a surfactant with a high water-lipid balance during the first polymerization and a surfactant with a low water-lipid balance during the second polymerization.
