The invention relates to an animal food with drinkable and chewable consistency. An additional portion, which is a mixture of one or more collagen hydrolyzates and oligofructoses, is added to a base substance customary in animal nutrition. In the additional proportion, the content of collagen hydrolyzates is in the range from 30 to 95% by weight or 75 to 95% by weight and the content of oligofructoses is in the range from 70 to 5% by weight or 25 to 5% by weight .-%.n n n The collagen hydrolyzates are highly purified, tasteless, hydrolyzed proteins from connective tissue. The molecules of the oligofructoses consist of two or more, preferably a maximum of nine, fructose molecular units which are bound β (1-2), the terminal molecular unit being a fructose or glucose molecular unit. |
