abstract |
To obtain argon, air is broken down in a rectification system with at least one air separation column (3) and one crude argon column. An argon-containing oxygen fraction (4) is removed from the air separation column (3) and introduced into a crude argon column (5). A crude argon fraction (6) is removed from the upper area of the crude argon column (5) and a first reflux liquid (7) is added. A first residual fraction (8) is removed from the lower region of the crude argon column (5). The crude argon fraction (6) is introduced into the lower region of a semi-pure column (9). An argon fraction depleted in oxygen (10, 15) and a second reflux liquid (11) are taken off in the upper region of the semi-pure column (9). A second residual fraction (12) is removed from the lower area of the semi-pure column (9) and forms the first reflux liquid (7) for the crude argon column (5). |
